How PayPal Works

PayPal offers a simple & secure means of paying monies, via the Internet, to anyone who has an email account.  The Buyer does not have to have an email account nor an account with PayPal.

Buyer without an account with PayPal:

The Buyer charges their account with PayPal either  by EFTS (Electronic Funds Transfer), Cheque or via a Charge Card/Credit Card, with sufficient funds to pay the Seller. The Buyer is then able to transfer these funds to the Seller by entering the Seller's email address (which is the Seller's PayPal account) and entering the amount to be transferred. The funds are moved from the Buyer's PayPal Account to the Seller's and the Seller is informed of the transaction. The Seller may then transfer the funds from their PayPal account into their Current (Checking) account. 

Buyer with an account with PayPal:

The Buyer makes a Charge Card/Credit Card payment, via PayPal, direct to the Seller by entering the Seller's email address (which is the Seller's PayPal account) and entering the amount to be transferred. The funds are debited on the Buyer's Charge Card/Credit Card  Account and credited to the Seller's PayPal account and the Seller is informed of the transaction. The Seller may then transfer the funds from their PayPal account into their Current (Checking) account. 

However, although the procedure is simple and efficient, please note that, due to UK banking methods, the transfer of cleared funds into the sellers U.K Bank Account can take up to seven days.

Regrettably we have to charge a handling fee for this method of payment which is currently 4% of the payment due.
