I have purposefully built this site using a basic format and simple techniques in the trust that I am demonstrating how such a site can be effective.

Yes this is a boring site! There's no spinning logos, no pictures, no animation etc. and I make no apologies for this. This site is aimed at my market place, which is small to medium businesses looking for a quality website design service that, whilst achieving the basic key objectives, doesn't cost a fortune. It is quick to load, understandable, easily negotiated and gives the key messages that I wish to convey.

Vanilla websites can easily be enhanced provided that you keep to the underlying design criteria that you established initially. Storyboarding the design at the outset is paramount but often overlooked and this can lead to excessive costs later should you enhance the site.

In my opinion it is best to get up-and-running with a basic site and then enhance it as both time and funds allow. This also gives the opportunity to advertise the Domain Name (the website address), evaluate effectiveness and determine more accurately your prospective clients' needs before spending on ineffective embellishment.
