Green Goddess - PGW30

PRV recieived an order for 200 Green Goddesses that have the registrations PGW1 to PGW200 but due, no doubt, to capacity issues at the time, Park Royal subcontracted the first 50 to, the, Bristol based coachbuilder, Longwell Green.  These used the registrations PGW1 to PGW50 and thus are the rarest of all Green Goddess bodies.

None of this marque have been discovered until now (August 2023) and this particularly fine example of a Green Goddess, irrespective of the marque, has a new owner in South Ayrshire, Scotland.  The previous owner was in the Merseyside area and evidently looked after her very well.

The log book has missing pages so there is no information about her history prior to 1982, nor when she acquired the registration 384XUA.  Though it is evident she was originally PGW30 with chassis #8361, and that she was issued to RAF Cranwell on the 20th September 2002 for deployment on Operation Fresco, the 2002 fire strike; and hence her RAF markings.

(If you know of any more Green Goddesses, bodied by Longwell Green, please let us know; Ed.)
