"Brindale Motor and General Sheet metal Works”, later to be shortened to “Brindale Engineering”, was a partnership set up in 1919 by the brothers Benjamin & Edmund Daniell along with Charlie Bird, a colleague from the brothers' WW1 time at the Darracq Motor Company. The name "Brindale" was formulated from the surnames of the partners Daniell and Bird.  "Brindale Engineering" became dormant after 1946.
