Bob Jones is restoring a 1959 AEC Mandator Mk V fitted with what's left of a Park Royal cab.  He would be pleased to find some photographs, drawings, parts lists; in fact anything that might help rebuild the truck.

But in particular one item he needs to find, or make, is the circular PRV badge plate that was fitted above the windscreen as a cover to a junction box for the wiring of the wipers.  It was the same size as the AEC hub cap badges and was either dark blue or black with white or silver lettering on it.  Might these be the badges Bob Jones is searching for?

The cab was produced in large numbers by Park Royal and also by other coachbuilders as AEC could not keep up with production (1959 to '66).  The basic trucks were produced at Southall with just a front scuttle, cab floor and front wings and Park Royal built the rest of the cab in fiberglass.

The floor of Bob's truck is completely rotten but will be rebuilt.

This mystery has been solved by Stephen Gray who advises that these roundels were definitely fitted to Mandator and Mammoth Major Mark 5 cabs.
